Matatalab: our take on the brand (Tale-Bot Pro tested)
Matatalab on Robot Éducatif: our hands-on Tale-Bot Pro test with a 4-year-old, strengths, limits, warranty.
Matatalab (official store now trading as MatataStudio) makes screen-free coding robots for young children. We tested its Tale-Bot Pro at home for several days with our 4-year-old son. Our full test is in French.
Our test
- Tale-Bot Pro: unboxing and first steps (in French): story mode, counting, shapes, sound recording, costumes.
Strengths (our test)
- Clear, audible voice.
- Many activities: stories, counting, shapes, recorded sounds.
- Suitable from age 3: at 3 years 10 months our son used story mode on his own.
- Simple and intuitive.
- Arrives charged and ready to use.
Limits (our test)
- Fragile costumes.
- The Android app was not on the Play Store when we tested.
Warranty and after-sales service
MatataStudio official store (checked 23 October 2026): 1-year limited warranty from receipt for manufacturing defects; repair or replacement parts, with one-way shipping covered for eligible claims; 30-day returns on official-store orders.
